Yang Ge was born in Jilin, China in 1972. His inclination for art at a very young age made him win a lot of awards in the art world when he was just a kid. He expanded his knowledge and skill of oil painting at Jilin Art University where he obtained a bachelor degree. After graduated from school, Yang Ge went to Beijing and became a free artist. His talent was recognized at the national exhibition of colleges of art. He had been refining his style during the period of living in the artist village in Beijing. In 2001, he was awarded Best Artist by China Vision Association for his animation work “Imagination”. By 2006, Yang Ge’s work had been featured in several galleries throughout the world including Korea, Japan, German and France.
Yang Ge said he has an uncanny ability to establish an inner dialogue with each individual observing his artwork. His intuitive expressionism awakens nurturing love, pain, freedom, immortality and hope that live within us. Through his work, Yang Ge allows the viewer get into his own private realm, into his dream and soul, leaving us a sense of intimacy with the painter and ourselves.

It presents the world with infinitely fantastic world in my mind, from easel to computer, from traditional facture to the wonderful digital space, from secret of nature to the uproariousness of city, and a child’s longing for the nature when he’s from the forest to the lifeless city.
Attended by the original nostalgia, I’ll describe these hint and signal which come from life, the beauty, the sanctitude, the villainy, and the suffering.
